Theobroxide is a novel compound isolated from the culture filtrate of Lasidiplodia theobromae and shows significantly inductive effects on potato (Solunum tuberosum) microtuber formation and flower bud formation of morning glory under non-inductive long-day (LD) condition. In this study, the effect of theobroxide on lipoxygenase (LOX) activity in LD-grown morning glory leaves was examined. We also investigated the change of lipoxygenase activity in morning glory plants subjected to different photoperiod conditions.
