Compaction tests of loamy soil by the dynamical method, the measurements of electric conductivity, unconfined compression tests and the measurements of shrinkage were performed simultaneously. Though we get the disturbed soil by crushing, we can expect that the essential element of the undisturbed soil which we wish to call as "undisturbed element" may remain in the sample. The amount of the undisturbed element will be lost by drying and it may have influence upon the results of various experiences perform ed. When we compact the air-dried soil with definite compactive effort, it is recognized that the properties of the compacted soil are classified roughly into two parts. When the soil is dried up than 100% moisture content it behaves as sandy, while the soil of more wet as clayey. In clayey zone, the measured properties of the compacted soil are considered to be reversible with respect to the wetting and drying, while in sandy zone irreversible.
