In this experiment, the following results were obtained; (1) The degree of growth in the respective treatment was noted in the following order;- the standard, no potash, no phosphoric acid, no fertilizer and no nitrogen. (2) The normal growth could not be obtained in the absence of any one of the three elements, namely nitrogen, phosphoric acid and potash. (3) The effect of nitrogen on the growth of mulberry tree was more pronounced than either phosphoric acid or potash. (4) From the results of this experiment, phosphoric acid seem to be more important than potash in their effect upon the growth of mulberry tree. (5) The minute quantities of materials contained in the tap water were insufficient to support the growth of mulberry tree.
