Kuroda et. al. (1992) and Isobe et. al. (1995) has reported that in soybean different raceme orders have different contribution in determining the yield. Although much attention has been paid by some scientists to classify the soybean cultivars according to growth habit and by others according to yield components, but nobody has paid attention towards this salient feature. The aim of this study was to identify simultaneously the soybean varietal behaviour with special reference to growth characteristics and yield components according to different raceme orders.
