Morphological aspects of rice chloroplasts isolated in glutaraldehyde and sucrose media were studied using the electron microscope. Chloroplasts in glutaraldehyde medium contained compact lamellae and densely stained stroma. On the other hand, chloroplasts in sucrose medium lacked stroma and consisted mostly of lamellae systems.
