By actually using 30 color measuring units, relation between the error produced in measurement of transparent material and that in measurement of reflecting material is studied. As a result, positive correlation between the two is recognized, leading to a confirmation that the recommended standards of the Color [Science Association of Japan based on the measurement error of the transparent material are also practically applicable in evaluating the measurement error of reflecting material.
