Two kinds of (oligosilsesquioxanes / 4-pentyl-4'-cyanobiphenyl (5CB) with a chiral dopant) composites were prepared. One of the oligosilsesquioxane was origomer of silsesquioxane (T8 cage) prepared by origomerization in 5CB and the other was dimer synthesized using hydrosilylation reaction. The V-T measurements have been shown that the transmittance of both composites in ITO cell (gap 7 μm) saturate less than 5V and exhibit memory effect after voltage removal.
