• Adsorptive strength and stabilities of liquid crystalline (LC) adsorbates prepared by m-MOLCA (modified Magnetically Oriented LC Adsorbate Method by Utilizing Solvent Evaporation) were studied. Thicker LC adsorbate layers more than necessary are not desirable for an effective aligning technique. Removal of the surplus LC adsorbate by spinning at an isotropic temperature and washing in the solvent enabled the good LC alignment. From the experimental results, it became clear that the coating polymer material and adapting time of LC adsorbate played an important role.
