A simple method allowing the fabrication of wide-viewing angle reflectors for use with reflecting LCD's was developed. Partial control of the surface topology was achieved and hexagonal closed-packed arrays of micro-mirrors were obtained. The reflectors display a sharply defined viewing cone and a white appearance.
