Modeling Open-Channel Flow and Contaminant Transport Based on Kinetic Theory

Instead of solving classical macroscopic models, mesoscopic models for open channel flows and the contaminant transport are formulated based on BGK Boltzmann equation. Numerical results show that the models produce highly stable and accurate solutions.
