Calculation of Grand-Canonical Systems for Electronic Properties in Chains Composed of Ions with Hubbard U Sandwiched by Ions without U

We make the numerical study for the purpose of discussing properties of electronic states in one-dimensional chains N-N-U-U-U-N-N composed of ions with strong correlations expressed by Hubbard U (called U-site) and ions without U (called N-site). In the grandcanonical system with the chemical potential μ, we obtain averaged electron number and charge susceptibility (i.e., equilibrium electron-additional spectra for μ). The characteristic behavior is discussed in relation to be effect of the strong correlation.
