Based on a simple model which can be solved exactly, the electrical resistivity due to the s-d interaction in dilute alloys has been found to be expressed by [π^3S(S+1)eh^^//ze^2k_F][{log(T/T_c)}^2+(π/2)^2]^<-1> where kT_c~ε_Fe^<1/2Jρ>, for both signs of J. From this we draw four conclusions as follows; (1) the resistivity shows a maximum at T_c, which is independent of the concentration of impurity; (2) when J<0, T_c is usually so low that we observe increasing resistivity with decreasing temperature, while, when J>0, T_c is so high that we observe decreasing resistivity with decreasing temperature; (3) the resistivity at T_c is independent of J, the s-d exchange integral; and (4) the resistivity due to the s-d interaction tends to zero as the temperature tends to zero. An available experiment is analysed using the above formula and T_c is estimated to be 0.0006°K in this case. The possibility of observing the maximum is discussed.
