Monte-Carlo studies of confinement based on the idea of abelian projection are reviewed briefly. Emphasis is placed on the approach to obtain an infrared effective monopole action using a blockspin transformation on the dual lattice. The trajectory obtained looks to be the renormalized one in SU(2) QCD. It seems well approximated by two-point monopole interactions in long-range region. Then it can be transformed exactly into various forms of infrared effective actions like a dual Ginzburg-Landau theory or a string theory.
