We study the quantum hamiltonian reduction of affine Lie (super) algebra by using the Wakimoto realization of the algebra and the homotopy transformation for the BRST operator. We apply this method to an affine Lie superalgebra sl(n+1|n)^<(1)> and obtain the free field realization of the non-critical W_n strings.
