In this article, we discuss some realizations of the classical W-geometry as the extrinsic geometry. In order to get insights on the covariant formulation, we discuss it both in the conformal and lightcone gauges, The lax equation in the lightcone gauge gives the gauge transformation that interpolates both gauges.
