• A model which attempts consistency between P_<11> and P_<33> pion-nucleon and nucleon-nucleon scattering is presented. The model satisfies unitarity above the pion-production threshold. The phase shift of ^1S_0 nucleon-nucleon scattering is calculated up to 1 GeV lab energy.
