• We discuss some aspects of the large N expansions of the generalized two-dimensional Yang-Mills theories (gYM_2), and especially, clarify the geometrical meanings of the higher Casimirs. Based on these results we attempt to extend the Cordes-Moore-Ramgoolam topological string model describing the ordinary YM_2 to those describing gYM_2. The concept of "deformed gravitational descendants" will be introduced for this purpose.
