Calculation of Mobility from Frequency Derivatives of Time-Correlation Functions : Condensed Matter and Statistical Physics

Mobility formula is rederived from a legitimate way by correcting expressions for the frequency derivatives of correlation function in Milinski's mobility formula. Mobility due to acoustic phonons in semiconductors at room temperatures is found to obey μ=(9π/32)μ_0 where μ_0 is the classical expression. For optical phonons μ versus T curve falls continuously with temperature and shows no singularities.
