Following Fuchssteiner's ideas of master symmetries a theory of master integrals for classical hamiltonian systems is formulated. It is shown how a great number of explicitly time-dependent conservation laws can be constructed by means of these objects. A final solution of the hamiltonian system is then obtained by reducing it to a system of purely algebraic equations. The theory is applied to the Calogero-Moser example, a coordinate frame (action/angle variables) is found, in which this system is linear.
