Nonuniversal Accumulation of Bifurcations Leading to Homoclinic Tangency

We discuss how a sequence of bifurcations leading to homoclinic tangency converges in certain weakly dissipative oscillators. A nonuniversal convergence rate as well as a correct criterion to determine the location of the bifurcations in regard to the homoclinic tangency is found.
