A possible source of the initially uniform magnetic field embedded in a rotating black hole is characterized by applying an approximation to a result of Petterson, namely, the electromagnetic field of the stationary and axisymmetric current loop situated in the equatorial plane of the hole (Phys. Rev. D12 (1975), 2218).
