The Algebra of Currents and the Meson Form Factors

The equal time commutation relation for the electromagnetic current is used to derive a sum rule for the pion form factor following the covariant method of Fubini. It is shown that the inclusion of pion, w-meson and A_1-meson (1^+) intermediate states gives a charge radius of the pion in agreement with the recent experimental data.
