Landau's criterion for superfluidity is re-examined by taking into account the interaction between the system and the wall explicitly. Provided that the excitation of the system at rest is described in terms of the quasiparticle with the spectrum ε(k), the system which is now moving below the critical velocity, min{ε(k)/k}, can never lose its velocity by creating quasiparticles. In order to obtain this result, we apply the Galilei transformation which brings the system to rest. Then the wall is moving and its moving field can transfer to the system not only the momentum but also the energy. The new form of the conservation law of energy leads to Landau's criterion.
