With the help of a potential so chosen as to, in a sense, just satisfy the saturation requirements and the various experimental data on the deuteron, and nucleon-nucleon scattering at low energies, the neutron proton differential scattering cross-section σ(θ)is calculated at 100Mev and 260Mev in Born's approximation. The error due to the use of Born's approximation at 100Mev is estimated. The calculated cross-sections are in fair agreement with experiment and indicate the desirability of making an exact phase shift calculation of σ(θ)for this potential.
