The Lee-Yang analysis of charged vector theories is applied to massive gauge fields and related effective Lagrangians. It has been found that the Lee-Yang matrix for the massive gauge field is unimodular. The unimodular condition is here applied to effective Lagrangians defined by chiral vector fields and leads to the Weinberg condition m_A=√<2>m_υ. When applied to an effective Lagrangian describing electromagnetically coupled gauge fields, the same condition leads to the usual renormalization of the electromagnetic field, the electric charge and the ρ and φ masses. Simple Feynman rules may be inferred for all the Lagrangians discussed.
