The uncertainty principle is formulated according to the hydrodynamic model of quantum mechanics. Tensorial uncertainty relations are established which relate the minimum uncertainty products to the quantum stresses in which the microphysical system is embedded. It is concluded that exterior perturbations due to measuring devices are not essential for the indeterminacy phenomenon. As an illustration, the hydrodynamic uncertainty relations are applied to elementary quantum systems.
