We have examined the high energy behavior of the differential cross section along the forward direction for the reaction π+N→ρ+N from the idea of O(3,1) symmetry. The scattering amplitude was expanded in terms of irreducible unitary representations of O(3, 1) and their asymptotic behavior determined. In this way, we were able to rederive the fact that at high energy, transversely polarized mesons are produced dominantly by M=1 Toller poles, and longitudinally polarized ones by M=0 Toller poles (M is a casimir operator of O(3, 1)). These Toller poles have been decomposed into families of Regge poles and the residues of the Regge poles with different signature and parity have been correlated. These dynamical relations between the residues of the conspiring Regge trajectories have been shown to be consistent with the kinematical constraints on the helicity amplitudes.
