Microscopic Derivation of the Roton-Roton Interaction

The microscopic derivation of the interaction between rotons is presented both for large values of the total momentum Q and for Q=0. Calculating the scattering amplitude of the roton pairs by use of the second-order perturbation theory, we have obtained effective roton-roton interactions which have the order of magnitude of 10^<-38> erg・cm^3 for the large momentum and 10^<-39> erg・cm^3 for Q=0. These values are consistent with the results of the viscosity coefficients measurement and the Raman scattering experiment, respectively.
