• The ground state static moments of odd-odd deformed nuclei. having natural parity protons in 2p^^~-1f^^~ pseudo oscillator shell and natural parity neutrons in 3s^^~-2d^^~-1g^^~ pseudo oscillator shell. are calculated in SU(3) weak coupling and SU(3) strong coupling models. The results of the static moments show that the SU(3) weak coupling model furnishes a good approximation for the ground state properties of deformed odd-odd nuclei, except for Eu and Tm isotopes for which it is found that the SU(3) strong coupling model is better.
