A general formalism for studying the response and correlation functions is specialized to a stationary state. A general fluctuation-dissipation theorem is deduced and particular cases are discussed in a unified treatment. Comparison with related developments is established : Kawasaki's scheme is justified and the assumptions leading to the vanishing of the spurious term in Wick's theorem are discussed.
