In our previous paper with the above title an equation of motion for the electron-positron pair was derived with some approximations; here a modified equation for the pair is derived. This has the feature that in "RPA" the "reduced vertex functions" appear in a symmetrical way. We also derive an expression for the positron self-energy and explicitly show that the electron-positron bound state channel does not appear in the positron self-energy and so the renormalization due to the bound state, if it exists, is not as dramatic as in the problems where the two-particle bound state channel occurs in the one-particle self-energy (e. g. superconductivity).
