Starting from the Fourier transform of the retarded product of the axial-vector current and the time component of the energy-momentum tensor between particle states, we derive a sum rule. This sum rule enables us to calculate the values of the energy-momentum structure form factors of the pion at a fixed point. A once-subtracted dispersion representation is then assumed for the form factors. Taking the ππ intermediate state to give the dominant contribution to the absorptive parts, we solve for the form factors in terms of the ππ phase shifts.
