• We consider the effective action of M-theory compactified on a S^1/Z^2 orbifold with an R^2 interaction in tghe Gauss-Bonnet combination. We derive equations of motion with source terms arising from the Gauss-Bonnet terms and find the M2-brane solution up to order κ^<2/3>. This solution receives a correction whose dependence on the orbifold coordinate has the same form as that of the gauge 5-brane solution.
