We discuss the relationship between the entropy of the de Sitter (dS)-Schwarzschild space and that of the CFT that exists on a brane, using the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) equations and the Cardy-Verlinde formula. The cosmological constant appears on the brane with a time-like metric in the dS-Schwarzschild background. Contrastingly, in the case of a brane with a space-like metric in the dS-Schwarzschild background, the cosmological constant of the brane does not appear, because we can choose brane tension to cancel it. We show that when the brane crosses the horizon of the dS-Schwarzschild black hole, both in the time-like and space-like cases, the entropy of the CFT is exactly equal to the black hole entropy of 5-dimensional dS background.
