Current-voltage (J-V) characteristics are numerically investigated at zero temperature for a point contact consisting of two different Peierls conductors P_ı(ı=1,2) separated by an insulator I. Here, P is a conductor with a charge density wave (CDW). The point contact is a one-dimensional system, where I exists at the origin of coordinate system. The J-V characteristics are found to depend on both the CDW phases 〓_ı and energy gaps Δ_ı(ı=1,2) to second order in the perturbation theory using the conventional tunnel Hamiltonian approach, where we ignore the phase fluctuations in P_ı(ı=1,2). Under certain conditions, the following results are obtained. (1) J possesses a discontinuous jump at the voltage eV=Δ_1+Δ_2. (2) The jump has a peak with respect to the phase.
