Voltammetric behavior of mixed ligand copper(II) complexes with L-α-amino acid has been investigated. The amino-acids used were L-glutamic acid and L-aspartic acid with a negative charged group and L-ornithine and L-lysine with a positive charged group. The predominant species were found to be Cu(Glu)_2(Lys) and Cu(Glu)_2(Orn) for the systems containing glutamic acid and Cu(Asp)_2(Lys) and Cu(Asp)_2(Orn) for the systems containing aspartic acid. The formation of Cu(A)_2 (B) type spcies should take into consideration at model experiments for serium albmin.
