9. HREM Observation of Remineralization Process on the Acid-etched Enamel.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mineralizing front of the deposited layer on the acid-etched enamel which was exposed to the calcifyiuug solution using a continuotus irrigation system. The ultra-thin specimens were prepared by following two methods; these are conventional cutting, and Arion beam etching. Whisker of apatite crystals was epi taxially growing on the acid-etched enamel specimens, while the crystal growth was significantly disturbed in the HEBP pretreatment group. We also evaluated the influence of different preparation methods of the specimens.
