A 20 year-old female who had had sequelae due to the aquired cerebral palsy, had suffered from hyperthyroidism since 14 years of age, In the first examination in our hospital, the surgical treatment was indicated in her condition. Since then, the antithyroid medication was begun prior to the operation, two weeks later she was admitted to the hospital, with complaining of marked ptosis, dysarthria, aphonia, weakness of extremities and disturbance in gait, these which suggested to be complicated by myasthenia gravis. Some doses of anticholinesterase drug was given for diagnosis exjuvantibus and was effective only for 3 days. On the 4 th day, however, hyperkinetic or dyskinetic movements such as spasm, tremor, choreic or athetotic movement revealed without convincing neurological evidences. Psychotherapeutical interviews suggested, that condition would be psychosomatic reaction in connected with her life history. The patient was improved by psychotherapy, autogenic training and behavior therapy. Report of this case in detail and some discussion about the interrelatinoship of these diseases from the psycho-somatic medical point of view were discribed.
