In the 1920s, Japanese farm villages had many problems : poverty, tenancy troubles and escapes from there. To solve the problems, teachers of agricultural education tried to reform farming and education. The reform of farming needed voluntary and diligent farmers. So, the teachers wanted more agricultural schools and tried to change a principle of the educational method : from <discipline> to <taste>. The <discipline> was a dominant training method, but now the <method based on 'taste'> was needed in order to form the new willingful farmers.
