• A lot of both clinical and image scientific evaluations for Computed Radiography(CR)^[○!R] have reported that CR has almost equal diagnostic capability with conventional X-ray radiographies. However, it is known that radiologists feel it difficult to find the focus with faint density difference against its circumference such as an alveolar pattern on chest and an early cancer on bone & joint. The author has examined the reason why CR has low contrast resolution and proposed some ideas for improvement; (1) the structure of the phospher in the plate, (2) the reading mechanism for luminescence, (3) the image matrix taken by CR, etc.
