• This article is a continuation of my previous study, "The Fatimid Diwans" in Bulletin of the Society for Western and Southern Asiatic Studies, Kyoto University, No.42,1995,which dealt with the Fatimid administrative offices (diwans) mentioned by Ibn al-Tuwayr in his Nuzha al-Muqlatayn fi Akhbar al-Dawlatayn. Although Ibn al-Tuwayr's description is the main source for the Fatimid administration, it gives information only about the late period of the Fatimid state. Therefore, in this article I list the diwans not mentioned by Ibn al-Tuwayr and investigate their functions, using the historical sources other than Nuzha al-Muqlatayn. More-over, in order to put my research in a broader perspective, I aim at elucidating the functions of the employees in the diwans.
