• Multi-filament arc type ion source is tested as the proto-type source for JIPP T-II injector. Displaced aperture electrodes are used to foculize the multi-beam and to inject the beam extracted from a large extraction electrode surface more effectively. Fundamental characteristics of the ion source and the power supply systems are described.
