幼児のリズム構造の表象的理解の発達 : 行為から可逆的操作へ

In the present study, we investigated the developmental processes of young children's rhythmic organization in the rational system of relations exceeding visual field. Fifty-four children aged 4 to 6 participated in two rhythmic organization tasks, one of which was checkerboard for spatial arrangement of objects and the other one was caning for organization of movement. Three levels of rhythmic structure conditions were experimentally controlled depending on its complex coordination of rhythmic sequences: [1]alternation-first line=white, black, white, black; [2]inversion of alternation-first line=white, black, white, black, second line=black, white, black, white; [3]cycle-third line reproduces the first and the fourth the second, and so on. The main results were as follows: (1) checkerboard for spatial arrangement of cubes was easier to achieve than caning was which required passing woof ribbons between each warp string, (2) the rhythmic structure conditions of cycle and inversion were more difficult than the alternation, and only 6 year-old-children passed the first two conditions, (3) most of children performed the checkerboard by proceeding by successive approximation without being capable of programming their actions based on representational system of rhythm, (4) progress of spatial arrangement with conceptual development in checkerboard were correlated with success of caning behavior of passing woofs between warps. These results were discussed in terms of developmental relationship between rhythmic organization of objects and of movements, deductive processes of operation, and role of action in the development of thinking and cognitive self-regulation.
