• The team concept in the US automobile industry has two resourses: QWL and Japanese manage- ment. Compared with the Japanese management type team concept, the character of the QWL type is workers' equal participation in decision making at the workplace level. As a result QWL type team concept has made the US industrial relations cooperative.
