It is shown that for every non-minority rule a necessary and sufficient condition (I) for quasi-transitivity is that value-restriction or weakly conflictive preferences or unique-value restriction holds over every triple of alternatives and (ii) for transitivity is that conflictive preferences or extreme-value restriction holds over every triple of alternatives.
