In this paper it is revealed that the effect of Microwave Power on chemical reactions is not only its rapid inner-heating but also some non-thermal effect. Applying CW and pulsed microwaves, both having equal mean powers, the pulsed microwave power can increase chemical reactions more than the CW power on the same temperature. The action of the microwave power seems to decrease the activation energy of the Arrhenius' reaction speed on a constant temperature condition, which is just alike to that of catalizers.
