Besides the characteristics of human language already mentioned in my previous paper some more characteristics of language are given in this present paper. (5) A hearer recognizes a given sound sequence as an integrated linguistic unit by observing its phonetic as well as prosodic features and contexts and identifies it with its equivalent linguistic unit registered within his/her 'cerebral dictionary'. This unit implies word, phrase, clause, sentences and even literary work which are certainly associated with phonemic properties but not necessarily with semantic properties. (6) The relation between the sound (signifiant) and the meaning (signifie) of a given word can not be absolutely arbitrary or accidental but rather intentional specially at the time of its formation, although the said relation may become gradually blurred as time elapses. (7) The linguistic sign is used primarily to express or to convey one's sentiment or thought to other person(s) and secondarily to create and maintain friendly relationship with other person(s). Usually man tries to express necessary infomation (marked features) in linguistic forms and to suppress unnecessary or redundant information (unmarked features). But when he dares to express unmarked or redundant information in linguistic forms, it conveys a special meaning which can be understood only through the help of cultural knowledge.
