In experiments of a toroidal plasma, the most fundamental and important factors are the plasma radius, the current radius, the current density distribution and the energy distribution in the plasma. By making use of magnetic probes and a Rogowski coil in the Axial Field Plasma Betatron, experiments to measure the current radius and the current distribution have been performed. The diameter of the current has been found to be 4cm and to hold the value without regard to the variation of a confining field strength up to 3KG, and to the displacement of a gun filament for preionization in the plasma. The axis of the current has been found to be above the axis of the toroidal chamber. The current density has been found to have a generally sharp boundary near the radius. This distribution is very remarkable since the distributions reported up to the present are always of Bennet type.
