The purpose of this study is to grasp the children's recognition and directional intention of dwelling house and home life, and to make it useful materials for their education of housing. In this paper, the children(primal school children, junior high school students and senior high school students)have been inquired of their recognition of the storage space of household articles in their house and their home environment. The following results were obtained. 1)Children's recognition of the storage space of household articles is influenced by the frequency of using them, their size, how to use them, person who use them and whether they will move them or not. 2)Gil's recogniton of the storage space of household articles in their house is better than boy's one as regards most the strage space of articles. And girls can understand storage space increasingly for the most part as they grow older. But boys' understanding of it decrease for the most part as grow older. 3)Children can understand anything abstracts, undaily living space and parents' life as they grow older. But children's recognition of their home environment has little to do with their sex.
