The purpose of this paper is to write down the basic information and knowledge that are necessary for the further research on mobile market in Finland's IT industry. First, two prospective research themes are described : 1) a study of Nokia's marketing strategies including their brand management ; and 2) a case study of Japanese venture company's global strategic alliance. Then, the factors of Nokia's success in their fast-growth are examined. At last, future issues for Nokia's mobile marketing are disucssed. In order for Nokia to continue to be the market leader in the mobile devices marketplace, they should hold distinct product concept, which differentiates their products from competitors.
